About Fermented Fire Hot Sauce Co.

Fermented Fire Hot Sauce was founded in our humble Roanoke apartment kitchen during the infamous COVID year of 2020. When presented with an excess of peppers from the garden (and the porch, and our family’s nursery…) and an excess of time, Fermented Fire was born. Officially founded in late 2022, we strive to preserve and highlight the unique flavor of hot peppers through natural fermentation. You’ll find our fermented pepper mashes as the first ingredient in each sauce - not vinegar or water, as with most big brand hot sauces. We don’t add any gums, thickeners, or preservatives to our sauces, intending to keep them as naturally flavorful as possible.
